Client work answers specific questions. The Lab asks different ones.

This is where we build things that don't have a brief yet - experiments at the edge of what automation, AI agents, and decision interfaces can do for real businesses. Some become client systems. Some become tools. Some just change how we think about the next project.

Autonomous Prospect Research Agent

Most sales teams spend serious time doing work that isn't really judgment - it's information gathering. Look up the company, find the decision-maker, check what they've posted recently, assess rough fit. Repeatable. Exhausting. Automatable.

We're building an n8n agent that takes a company name or domain and autonomously researches across web sources, LinkedIn signals, and public data - then delivers a structured prospect brief with fit indicators and recommended next steps. No human input between trigger and output.

What we're learning: where agents produce reliable, actionable output versus where they still hallucinate context. The failure modes are more instructive than the successes.

AI → CRM Execution Bridge

There's a gap that almost every business using AI has but nobody talks about. AI generates something useful - a scored lead, a drafted email, a call summary, a structured data point. Then a human copies it into the CRM. Every time.

We're closing that gap. Building pipelines where AI output triggers direct CRM writes - no copy-paste, no human in the middle for routine data. The question: how much of the AI → execution gap can be eliminated with current tools, and where does human judgment still genuinely need to sit?

Early finding: the gap is almost entirely closable for structured outputs. Unstructured judgment calls still need a human. Everything else is just bad workflow design.

Behavioural Lead Scoring Layer

Form submissions tell you almost nothing about intent. Someone who fills out a contact form and someone who reads your pricing page three times, clicked your case studies, and then filled out the form are not the same lead - but most CRMs treat them identically.

We're exploring a lightweight behavioural scoring layer that sits on top of existing CRM data - factoring in page behaviour, content consumption, time on site, and interaction patterns to surface genuinely high-intent prospects before they self-identify.

The goal is a score that means something, not just a number that exists.

Energy Monitoring Agent for Small Commercial Operations

Small commercial businesses - retail units, small manufacturers, independent hospitality - pay energy bills they don't understand and have no visibility into consumption patterns. Large enterprises have building management systems. Small businesses have nothing.

We're exploring a lightweight monitoring layer that connects to smart meter data or IoT sensor outputs, runs anomaly detection on consumption patterns, and surfaces actionable alerts - when usage spikes unexpectedly, when off-hours consumption suggests equipment left running, when patterns indicate a maintenance issue before it becomes a failure.

A 15% reduction in energy waste is often worth more than a new customer.

Sustainability Reporting Automation for SMEs

Sustainability reporting is becoming unavoidable. Enterprise supply chains are pushing ESG requirements down to their SME suppliers. UK and EU regulation is tightening. Australian businesses exporting to Europe are already feeling it.

We're exploring an automated data collection and report generation system - pulling from existing business tools to assemble a structured sustainability report without requiring a dedicated sustainability team. AI handles the synthesis. The business owner reviews and approves.

The first studio that solves sustainability reporting for SMEs credibly owns a massive underserved market. Every SME supplier to a large enterprise will need this within two years.

Competitive Intelligence Agent

A 10-person business doesn't have an analyst. But it still needs to know what competitors are doing. Most businesses solve this by hoping someone notices something - which means they usually find out about market moves weeks after they happen.

We're building a recurring autonomous agent that monitors a defined set of competitors weekly - tracking pricing pages, product updates, job postings, review patterns, and content changes - then synthesises findings into a structured brief delivered automatically. No prompting. No manual research. Just a brief in your inbox every Monday.

Currently in prototype with two business types: professional services and ecommerce. The core workflow runs. We're refining the synthesis layer to reduce noise and improve signal quality.

Predictive Maintenance Signal Agent for Small Manufacturers

Small manufacturing operations run on equipment that fails expensively and unpredictably. Large manufacturers have IoT sensor networks and predictive maintenance systems worth hundreds of thousands. Small manufacturers have a maintenance log in a spreadsheet, if that.

We're prototyping a lightweight signal agent that connects to low-cost IoT sensors on critical equipment - monitoring vibration, temperature, and cycle patterns - and uses anomaly detection to flag early warning signals before failure. When something looks abnormal, the agent generates a maintenance brief with the specific reading, the historical baseline, and a recommended action.

A single unplanned equipment failure in a small manufacturing operation can cost more than an entire year of monitoring infrastructure. The ROI conversation is straightforward.

Operational Audit Interface

Before you can build the right system, you have to understand what's actually broken. Most businesses that come to us know something isn't working. Very few can articulate exactly where - because the breakdowns are distributed across tools, people, and habits that have accumulated over time.

We're building a structured diagnostic interface - a guided intake flow that maps current tools, data flows, decision points, and manual touchpoints, then generates a prioritised intervention map. The output isn't a report. It's a ranked list of where automation would have the most operational impact, with estimated effort and expected outcome for each.

Testing with SMEs across three sectors: professional services, ecommerce, and home services.

Automated Franchise Performance Intelligence

Franchise systems generate enormous amounts of operational data across locations - sales, customer ratings, response times, staffing patterns, complaint logs. Most franchisors look at this data monthly, in spreadsheets, when it's already too late to act on it.

We're building an automated intelligence layer that monitors franchisee performance data continuously, identifies outliers and early warning patterns, and surfaces weekly briefings to the franchisor - flagging which locations need attention, what the likely issue is, and what intervention has worked in similar cases before.

Franchise systems that identify struggling locations early and intervene fast have dramatically better network retention. The intelligence already exists in the data. It just needs someone to build the system that surfaces it.
Testing

Live experiments running with real businesses right now.

Something in your business is running on manual effort that shouldn't be.

Whether it's leads, operations, your store, or your tools - let's figure out where the system is missing and what it would take to fix it.

No obligations. Just a conversation.
